The Business Golfers Network, a division of DeSilva Communications, Inc., is a business development organization that focuses on building business relationships and providing networking opportunities through business luncheons, business forums and golf events. Our goal is to promote member businesses by creating business development opportunities that increase business exposure and sales. The BGN is unique in that it brings business people who love golf, to meet once a month, engage in business and social networking, develop business relationships, increase business exposure, expand their business referral base, establish new business opportunites and play 9 holes of golf.

The purpose of the Busines Golfers Network is twofold. The first objective is to provide business development opportunities and educate our members to be successful in the world of business. Business educational topics, include but are not limited to Finance, Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resource, Administration, Sales and Consulting. The club will accomplish this goal by organizing monthly networking & luncheons events, conduct business seminars, invite distinguished speakers to share their experiences and include an interactive member business problem solving session. The second objective is to organize and promote business development thorugh golf networking. Business Club Members will be paired in a two person best ball golfing event. This nine hole event provides members with the opportunity to enjoy the game and spend two hours with business peers who share a common interest.

The Executive Round Table is a group of BGN members who serve as experts and advisors in their respective fields of business. All BGN Chapters are invited to participate in the Executive Round Table. ERT Members are required to provide a monthly business report and act as advisors and mentors.

The USGA Handicap System was established to make the game of golf more enjoyable by enabling players with differing abilities to compete on a more equitable basis. The purpose of the Handicap system is to measure a golfer's potential ability to play, rather than how he or she is currently playing. In order to obtain a USGA Handicap Index, a golfer must belong to a Golf Club.

The Golf Handicap and Information Network is a computation system established by the USGA and provided to state and regional golf associations. The Florida State Golf Association administers the GHIN system for the USGA. The Business Golfers Network is affiliated with the FLGPA-Florida Golf Players Association, which is officially sanctioned by the Florida State Golf Association. As such the FLGPA will at all times keep records and establish handicaps for BGN Members, in accordance with the guidelines established by the USGA. Members who do not have a USGA Handicap will be assigned one according to the GHIN system.

It is important to note that the golf handicap system has always relied on the integrity of the individual golfer. Therefore, it is each Member's responsibility to record his or her individual scores accurately and promptly or contact the BGN to record your scores and maintain your current handicap.

There are certain risks inherent in the game of golf and members accept personal responsibility for all such risks, including, but not limited to any health-related risks and do hereby release All Sponsors, the Hosting Golf Club, DeSilva Communications, Inc., and its officers, directors, members of its staff and employees from any and all liability for any event or consequence whatsoever in any way arising out of relating to my entry or participation in BGN activites. Any member applying and being accepted in the BGN hereby waives any claims for damage which may exist either during or after the members period of membership, whether or not such claim for damage was caused by negligence or otherwise
